How To Celebrate International Cat Day?

International Cat Day was found in 2002 to honor cats for holding a prominent position in our lives and heart. In the spirit of this day, here are some fun ideas to make your cats feel special. After all, everybody knows how much they love our attention!

Ideas To Celebrate International Cat Day

  1. Spend lots of the time with your kitty. It is the best gift you can give to your furry munchkin. Play with your cat and give them lots of snuggles and cuddles.

  2. Bring them new toys that interest them. They would definitely love the gesture.

  3. You can also place new furniture or shelves meant for cats so they have a new place to jump, climb and burn energy.

  4. Gift them things like toys, catnip, a new bed or litter box, health supplements or health care & grooming products.

  5. Give your cat a good massage and groom them gently.

  6. Organize a party for them if possible.

  7. Bake or cook food items that your cat loves to drool over but make sure they are cat friendly and cat healthy items.

  8. Taking your cat on a nice walk to a place they love could also make their day great. However, avoid busy streets or overly crowded public places that could make your cat nervous or anxious.

  9. Take your cat to the vet for a health check-up.

  10. Even if you don't own a cat you can celebrate FELINE FABULOUSNESS by donating or taking pet supplies to a local cat rescue. You can also lend a hand to the caretakers at the rescue through volunteering or becoming a foster.

Cats have proved to be the best companions of humans besides dogs. Their presence in our homes enlivens the place and keeps our mood elevated. This is the reason why pet owners are more healthy and positive towards life than the ones without any pets. Cats are stress-busters and of great help to people dealing with loneliness and depression. Their constant fidgeting, quirkiness and health demands, keeps the person consumed and distracted from his affliction bringing a remarkable health and psychological change. When their mere presence is so beneficial to humans then, why not celebrate the companionship they have been offering to us for so many decades.
